Scope:
The Controller will handle and manage all aspects of our accounting and oversee the company’s financial performance. This key member of our accounting department will contribute to all aspects of financial accounting and management, including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, KPI’s, ROI, productivity analysis, expense-saving strategies, and more.
Project-based accounting experience preferred
Skills & Experience:
- Setup KPI reporting system
- Establish accounting policies and procedures
- Build out staffing of the Accounting Department
- Perform both vertical and horizontal financial and admin duties until full staffing is in place
- Manage and perform all aspects of accounting, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, financial accounting, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
- Prepare and Report the financial statements across multiple locations and legal entities.
- Prepare and analyze financial management presentations for the CEO
- Maintain key metrics to help provide insights into business performance
- Manage and Perform end-of-month closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure all accounting policies and procedures are followed by the organization.
- Cash Flow Modeling of each entity.
- Monitor and reconcile cash and funding balances.
- Advise management through financial analyses, and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, significant costs, benchmarks, budgeting, financial forecasting, margin analysis, and other matters.
- Coordinate audit and tax preparation services including monthly sales & use tax.
- Financial reporting of weekly and monthly sales accounts and cost center reporting.
- Oversee payments made for debts, bank loans, and overseas vendors
- Define benchmarks and implement operational best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and GAAP reporting.
- Job may require other projects and special duties as assigned.
